Pam Tillis keeps busy touring, making appearances and forever moving forward to her next musical project. Just last week she was a presenter for the Country Music Association awards with "Women of Country Music" as the theme.
Country music is lucky to have her in their genre. But it wouldn't have mattered what Tillis chose to record and perform, she has one of those rare voices that lends itself to anything she wants to sing. She can easily move from classic country, to pop, to a bluesy torch singer — wherever her heart, her soul and the lyrics lead.

Scientists Beat The House At Roulette With Chaos Theory - Forbes

Posted: 27 Oct 2012 12:00 AM PDT

Professional gamblers know that when it comes to the game of roulette, the best strategy is the same one that supercomputer Joshua applied to nuclear war in the movie WarGames: "The only way to win is not to play."

But that didn't stop a group of chaos theorists from trying to beat it anyway. And according to new research published in the journal Chaos, it looks like they may have found a way to beat the house. They were able to model the motion of the wheel and ball and were able to confirm their predictions both in simulation and using an actual roulette wheel.

"Knowing the initial conditions allows you to beat the odds," said Michael Small, who carried out the study with Chi Kong Tse, in a press release. "In some cases you can beat them quite significantly."

Of course, casinos tend to frown on precise measurements and computer simulations by their gamblers, so the researchers developed a simpler method of predicting the outcome of a roulette game that could be deployed without notice. The first step is simply for a player to note the time it takes for the ball to pass a fixed point to get a rough approximation of the velocity of the ball. That approach, according to the researchers, produces results that " although noisy, are feasible" for making predictions.

Using those simple measurements and the equations presented in the paper, the researchers were able to predict which half of the roulette wheel the ball would end up in about 59% of the time. By betting strategically in accordance with those predictions, this enabled them to get an 18% return on their gambling. That's compared to a -2.7% return in the normal course of roulette gambling.

According to the researchers, some casino practices could enable even better returns. "If you wish to beat the house, look for a wheel for which the ball drops only from one side of the rim – that is, a crooked table," Small said in the release. "Prediction becomes substantially simpler and more reliable."

Of course, Small adds that, "even if the odds are in your favor, there is still a probability of losing, and losing big. In the long run you would come out ahead but you may first need very deep pockets."

Don't rejoice too quickly, gamblers. As the researchers note in the paper, "for the casino the news is mostly good—minor adjustments will ameliorate the advantage of the physicist-gambler."

As a result, professional gamblers should probably stick to the games where math and skill still reign supreme over chance, like poker.

Woman and Man Live Dealers at Casino
The online gaming world used to just feature virtual casino games. If you wanted to play blackjack, your only option was to use a software-generated table with an AI dealer.

Such table games are still available in great abundance. But you can now look forward to live dealer gaming as well.

Live casino games differ from standard virtual table games in the following ways:

  • Action is streamed from either a land-based studio or casino.
  • A human dealer works the table.
  • You can communicate with the dealer via a chat box.
  • Real tables are used.
  • Real cards and other equipment (e.g. roulette wheel) are used.

Some elements of live casinos are the same as virtual gaming. For example, the betting interface is roughly the same between both versions.

For the most part, though, live dealer gaming is very different from regular online casino gambling. Its differences have helped it become more popular among players.

However, the situation regarding live casinos wasn't always so great. In fact, few people played these games in the beginning.

I'm going to further discuss the slow start for this form of gambling. I'll also cover what elements have helped it attain a high level of popularity today.

Slow Beginnings for Live Dealer Gaming

Live dealer casinos are nothing new. They've been around since the mid-2000s.

Certain internet casinos launched live dealer outfits with an obvious angle: bring the brick-and-mortar experience to the online world.

These casinos were filling an obvious void in online gambling. But they failed to take off right away for a couple of reasons.

  • Consumer internet connections weren't that great in the mid-2000s. Live tables would sometimes freeze up in the middle of a round.
  • The studios and game play options didn't make for a fun experience.

As with many new ideas, live casinos struggled mightily due to these setbacks. It took years before they improved to the point where they were accepted on a wide scale basis.

Factors that Have Boosted the Popularity of Live Casinos

Many internet casinos now license live gaming software from various providers (e.g. Evolution). This is a stark contrast from 10 years again, when live casinos were poorly functioning sites with few users.

What sparked this turnaround? The following reasons have all contributed to the rise of live dealer gambling.

Quality Live Casino Studios

The earliest live casinos were rather rudimentary. They featured single cameras at tables and poor virtual interfaces for the betting options.

These outfits have seriously upgraded their technology and presentation. Nowadays, each table features multiple cameras to capture different viewpoints.

The studios themselves also look better than in the past. Rather than blank rooms with casino tables, these studios are fashioned to look like real casinos.

Speaking of which, some providers even operate in brick-and-mortar casinos. For example, Actual Gaming (formerly Vuetec) and MTM Corp both operate from the classy Fitzwilliam Casino in Dublin.

Mobile Compatibility

When live dealer sites first came out, they were originally only available on PCs and Macs. This made sense at the time when considering that mobile phones were still built like small bricks.

Live Dealer Blackjack on Iphone

However, the advent of smart phones changed everything. Smartphone tech allows for better graphics and streaming quality — two crucial elements to the live gaming experience.

Better Internet & PC/Mobile Technology

As mentioned before, internet connections weren't the greatest when live casinos first launched. But high-speed internet is now available across most of the world.

Players no longer have to worry about games freezing up on them in the middle of a session. Instead, they can enjoy smooth game play at live dealer sites.

PC and mobile technology have also helped to improve this process. Computers, smart phones, and tablets are now able to stream live gambling action without much incident.

Improved Chat Function

One aspect that truly sets live table games apart from their virtual counterparts is communication. You can interact with a real dealer via the chat box.

This process works as follows:

  • You type a question to the dealer.
  • It appears on a large screen in front of the dealer.
  • They respond to you when they get a free second.

Maybe this isn't as personable as sitting and chatting with the dealer at an actual casino table. However, it's the most-interactive experience that online gaming currently offers.

More Features

Again, live dealer tables weren't exactly technological marvels when they were first introduced. Software providers have done a good job at upgrading the features over the years, though.

Here are some of the features that are available at live tables:

  • Bet behind — Sometimes live dealer tables are full. Bet behind allows you to wager on the outcome of a seated player's results.
  • Card overlays — Virtual card overlays make it easier to see the real card values that are dealt.
  • Fullscreen — Increase the screen size to take up the entire table.
  • Stop/go lights — Green, yellow, and red lights show how much time you have to place bets.
  • Tips — Give your favorite dealer a tip.
  • Virtual chips — Like card overlays, virtual chips enable to you to better see the chip denominations.

Low Stakes

Nothing beats the land-based gambling experience. However, brick-and-mortar casinos require high minimum bets. Plenty of establishments require you to wager at least $25 per hand.

Live dealer software providers differ greatly in this regard. Some only require you to bet $1 to begin playing.

Others may call for $5 minimum wagers, especially regarding blackjack. But this amount is still cheaper than the average brick-and-mortar casino.

Find Your Favorite Dealers

The dealers are quite possibly the biggest draws to live casinos. Not only do they communicate with you, but many of them are also quite attractive.

You can play at different croupiers' tables and develop a bond with them. Over time, you may find that you prefer one dealer over the others.

Blonde Woman Casino Dealer

In this case, you can check out their schedule to see what shift they'll be working. Many online casinos provide this information somewhere on their website.

Most live dealer sites also feature dealers who speak a variety of languages. English, French German, Spanish, and Swedish are among the most-popular languages spoken at these casinos.

More Games

Baccarat, blackjack, and roulette have been the staples of live dealer gambling sites. However, this selection has been expanded in recent years.

Here are some of the many games that you can find across the industry:

  • Baccarat
  • Blackjack
  • Caribbean stud
  • Casino hold'em
  • Dragon Tiger
  • Dream Catcher
  • Texas hold'em bonus poker
  • Three-card poker
  • Ultimate Texas hold'em

Beyond the large game variety, certain live games have multiple variations. Blackjack, for example, features a party version, where a host/hostess works with the dealer to keep gamblers entertained.

How Can You Get in on the Live Dealer Gaming Action?

You don't have to look far to find live dealer casino games these days. Many casinos and providers now feature these options.

It's important to note that not every gaming site and provider have live games. After all, these outfits are fairly expensive to run and license.

Therefore, the first matter is to find a site that runs live casino games. You can do so by looking for casinos that use software from one or more of the following providers:

This list doesn't even cover every live operator. Therefore, you can see all of the different options that are available.

Once you choose a casino with live gaming software, the rest of the process is easy. You just deposit and sign up like you normally would at any casino.

From here, you proceed to a casino's games section. They should have live dealer gaming clearly categorized and separate from their slots and virtual table games.

Many sites require you to bet real money to play. This differs from virtual table games, which are free to enjoy.

Therefore, a deposit is required before you can play live dealer games. The good news, though, is that live casinos have lower minimum bets than the average land-based establishment.

Conclusion

Live gambling sites may not have started off with a bang. But they're definitely a major part of the online gaming industry now.

Several factors have contributed to the success of live casinos. Here's a recap of the main aspects that have helped this style of gambling grow:

  • Better studios; some outfits even operate from brick-and-mortar casinos
  • Live casinos available on smart phones and tablets.
  • Stronger internet connections
  • Improved PC/Mac and mobile phone technology
  • Fun chat feature
  • Added features, including the popular "bet behind"
  • Lower stakes than brick-and-mortar casinos
  • Attractive and entertaining dealers
  • Lots of different games

You can't perfectly replace the brick-and-mortar casino environment. With the latter, you can touch cards, sit at a real table, talk directly to the dealer, and chat with fellow players.

But live dealer gaming is a suitable alternative when you can't get to the closest casino. While you may be seeing the action through a screen, the tables, dealers, and cards are real in this situation too.

What's nice is that you won't have to work hard to find a live casino either. Plenty of software providers feature their products across numerous gaming sites.

Some casinos even offer free bets that are exclusive to live gamblers. That said, you have extra incentive to try these types of casinos.

How Live Casinos Took Online Gambling to the Next Level - Virtual-Strategy Magazine

Posted: 19 Nov 2019 07:06 PM PST

Live casinos are superbly popular these days. Not only do they save you the time and money of having to travel to a brick-and-mortar casino, but they also bring an element of authenticity to your gaming.

The online gambling world, after all, is very used to virtual casino games. If you wanted to play any classic card or table game, there are plenty of software platforms that can allow you to gamble online.

Although these software-generated table games exist in abundance, many players are craving that authentic touch. Be it friendly banter with fellow gamblers or small talk with the croupier; players increasingly want that human touch element.

According to GambleGenie, this is where the best UK live online casinos come into play. They differ from virtual table games in a myriad of ways, namely:

  • Action unravels before your eyes via live video stream
  • A human being is acting as a croupier or dealer
  • You can chat with other players as well as the dealer via live chat
  • Everything including the live casino table and cards is real

These provide the perfect concoction for virtual gaming. It is essentially the same as playing at a land-based casino. You will also occasionally spot a real-person shuffler coming onto the screen to shuffle the decks of cards

Live dealer gaming has in recent years exploded, though it didn't get off to a flying start. When it first exploded onto the scene in the mid-2000s, there were a few teething problems. Internet connections weren't that great, and studios and live streaming were more of a headache than fun.

How live casinos have changed over the years

For starters, in the past, live casino studios only had single cameras at the tables, and because internet connections were much slower, it also meant less than optimal coverage.

The studios are these days more embellished to look like real casinos.

Additionally, you can now play on the go on your mobile smartphone or tablet. In the past, you could only play on your PC and had limited mobility. The foundation of smartphones has changed the face of the online gambling industry. These nifty products make room for top-notch graphics and excellent streaming quality.

Internet connections were incredibly weak in the past, and since high-speed internet is now available across most of the world, you don't have to worry about the games freezing up in the middle of a session.

The chat functionality has also undergone improvements. You can chat by typing in your question or comment in the chatbox, and the dealer will reply to you as soon as they see it.

Maybe it's not as personable as sitting in front of the dealer, but it's the next best thing.

There have been plenty of added features added for exciting gameplay. Some live casino tables include:

  • Bet behind: The option to bet on a seated player's results. This is available where there is no more room at the table.
  • Betting lights: These show you how much time you have to bet or make a decision
  • Card Overlays: You can see the real card values as they are dealt

Live casino games on offer

The most popular games found at live casinos online such as the one at Casumo are blackjack, roulette and baccarat. In recent years, there has been a surge of new live casino games. These include Caribbean Stud Poker, Casino Hold'em, Dream Catcher, Dragon Tiger, Texas Hold'em, Three card poker and Monopoly Live. This is only a small taste of new games now available.

Live dealer gaming provided the ideal platform when you can't get to a brick-and-mortar casino. That being said, the live casino bonus offers are more generous online. You can see the action unravel before your eyes and with plenty of software providers and games to choose from, the choice is limitless.

Dive into the live casino experience. Take advantage of free bets and exclusive offers.

Video poker at Unibet Online Casino

If you like card games but find blackjack a bit boring, you should go ahead and try video poker. Unibet offers three versions of this much-beloved game.

Even though Unibet doesn't have popular titles like Deuces Wild or Caribbean Stud poker, the selection is still quite nice.

Jacks or Better is a great poker game, especially for those who are just learning poker strategies and tricks. Getting a pair of Jacks or Better will pay you 1x your bet and the highest pay is, as usual, the royal flush paying out at 800x your bet.

Then, there is Bonus Poker, which has the same paytable as Jacks or Better, except for a bonus for collecting four 2s, 3s or 4s, all of which will pay you 40x your bet.

If you are looking for even more excitement, Double Bonus Poker is just for you. In this version of poker, you can get 160x your bet if you are lucky enough to collect four aces. The most significant expected payback is on Jacks or Better of 99.54%, but the other video poker games are not far behind.

  • Bonus Poker
  • Double Bonus Poker
  • Jacks or Better

Other casino games

If you find card games to be too complicated, at Unibet, you can also play roulette games.

Besides American roulette, it also offers French roulette, Double Roulette, Roulette Advanced and Roulette Master.

If you want to try something different when it comes to roulette, you should give Double Bonus Spin Roulette a try. This is a classic American roulette with an extra bonus slot that is wider than the others. It gives you a greater chance of getting bonus free spins on a special wheel and, therefore, more enormous wins.

Roulette Master is a standard European roulette game that stands out with its great graphics and many options to modify the game to your liking.

While Unibet has some of the most popular table games, it does not have any baccarat, craps or keno games. They are, of course, not as popular as blackjack, poker and roulette but a considerable amount of gamers do tend to enjoy a game or two.

Unibet does not host any live casino games either, but we hope that this is in its plans.

  • Roulette: American and French
  • Craps: Not available
  • Baccarat: Not available
  • Ultimate Texas Hold 'em: Not available
  • Keno: Not available

Evolution Gaming doubling size of New Jersey live casino studio - CalvinAyre.com

evolution-gaming-new-jersey-live-dealer-casino-studioOnline casino live dealer specialists Evolution Gaming are betting big on the US iGaming market after winning approval to dramatically expand their New Jersey studio.

Last week, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) approved a request by Evolution Gaming to amend its current operational plan for New Jersey's regulated intrastate online gambling market. Evolution filed papers on November 7 seeking to expand its New Jersey live dealer studio, which the company launched in August 2018.

Specifically, Evolution was seeking to more than double the studio's physical footprint, from its current 2,223-square-feet to 5,386-square-feet. Evolution hoped to fill the extra floor space with 24 additional blackjack tables, one Money Wheel table and one Side Bet City table.

The DGE signed off on Evolution's proposal, provided the company meet the DGE's requirements for adequate closed-circuit television coverage of all tables, whether the tables are active or not.

The DGE also stipulated that the security department at the Hard Rock Atlantic City casino – where Evolution's studio is located and for whom Evolution already provides live casino services – is to be responsible for the live studio's security.

Evolution's New Jersey studio was its tenth facility worldwide but only its second North American studio, following the launch of live dealer services for the provincial gambling monopoly in British Columbia, Canada in early 2018.

In September, Evolution was approved to operate in Pennsylvania's nascent intrastate online gambling market. The company is still putting the finishing touches on its Pennsylvania studio, which will open sometime next year with "more than 10" online live tables offering a variety of Evolution game variants.

This month, Evolution announced a deal with local casino operator Penn National Gaming (PNG), which is one of only four Pennsylvania casino operators to have launched online casino operations to date. PNG's online casino generated revenue of $1.8m in October, a little over one-third of the statewide total.

NJ Gambling Regulators Approve Expansion For ‘Live’ Internet Casino Studio - NJ Online Gambling

Posted: 19 Nov 2019 11:37 AM PST

The term "live" isn't usually used when talking about online gambling, but a company doing business in the state of New Jersey begs to differ.

Evolution Gaming, a supplier of live dealer table games for online/mobile casinos via a live stream, on Nov. 12 received state approval to expand its Live Casino Studio, which houses the tables and dealers used for the offerings. The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement granted the company's request to expand its Live Casino Studio by 3,163 square feet to a total of 5,386 square feet, according to a notice on the agency's website. In terms of square footage, it's a substantial bolstering of the space.

The expansion will be used to house 26 additional "internet gaming tables," the notice stated. Among the 26 tables will be one "Money Wheel" table, one "Side Bet City" table, and 24 blackjack tables. The notice didn't state how many tables the studio currently has. The studio made its debut in 2018 with 10 tables.

Evolution, which has many partners in the nascent U.S. online gambling space, was eyeing an expansion as soon as it opened the studio, per a presser.

"Now we have a fantastic Live Casino studio in New Jersey — with a wide choice of live games from day one, and ample room for expansion and the rapid ramping up of services to meet our new US licensees' needs," Evolution CEO Martin Carlesund said last year. "We are now extremely well placed to support our licensees as they acquire and grow market share in the exciting new US Live Casino market."

Per the DGE, the Hard Rock Security Department is responsible for the security of the studio. The studio is housed in the casino formerly known as the Trump Taj Mahal. The DGE will have a final inspection of the space before it can be used for gaming activity.

Evolution Gaming earlier this month uploaded a video to its YouTube channel showing off the studio.

Games becoming more popular?

Evolution's expansion suggests that the games are performing well for its partners.

Live dealer online table games, common in Europe, didn't enter the New Jersey online gambling scene until August 2016, about three years after iGaming commenced in the state. Golden Nugget was the first to wade into those waters with its own streaming studio in a partnership with software provider Ezugi, which later sold to Evolution in November of last year.

The DGE doesn't release revenue figures for live dealer online table games. It also doesn't provide public data on the split between online table games, live dealer or otherwise, and online slots.

While we can't quantify the success of live dealer online table games in the U.S., another sign that points to their initial success in the fledgling U.S. online gambling market is Evolution's recent approval in the state of Pennsylvania for the offerings. It will have multiple partners in the Keystone State as well.

In October, Evolution reached a deal with Flutter Entertainment, the upcoming owner of The Stars Group.

Recent industry-wide enhancements to the offerings include making the games available 24/7, a live chat function with the dealers, and even streaming from an actual casino floor.

Roulette may be a game with European origins, but it has long since become popular throughout the world, including the United States. American roulette is now one of the two main versions of this casino classic, popular throughout most of North and South America, as well as in the Caribbean. It is also commonly offered at online casino sites, which usually spread both versions of the games (sometimes with other variants as well).

Among fans of the game, the American variation tends to get something of a bad rap. It is true that it comes with a higher house edge than European tables, with no real advantages to make up for that fact. But it's still a very social and entertaining game, and if this version is the only one available, you may well find that you will enjoy playing it all the same.

The Basics

Roulette is a game in which players place bets on where a ball will land on a circular wheel that contains dozens of different numbered pockets. On an American rouletteb wheel layout, you will see 38 pockets in total: the numbers 1-36, as well as 0 (zero) and 00 (double zero). Each of these pockets is exactly the same size, meaning all numbers are equally likely to be hit on any given spin. The zero and double zero are painted green, while the remaining numbers are evenly split between red and black.

Before each spin, players have the options of making as many bets as they like, with a variety of different options offered. Of course, you can also choose to pick a single number and run with it, hoping that it will be hit. However, number combinations can also be covered by a single bet. Wagers are made over a large layout on the table next to the wheel; in a live casino, there is plenty of room for multiple players to start around the table and reach out to place their own bets.

Here's a quick rundown of the betting options available on an American table, divided into the "inside" bets – which generally cover only a few numbers or less – and "outside bets," which cover large portions of the wheel at lower payouts.

Inside Bets

Single: A bet covering a single number that pays out at 35-1.

Split: A bet covering any two adjacent numbers on the layout that pays 17-1.

Street: A bet that covers a row of three numbers, paying out 11-1.

Corner: A bet covering a "square" of four numbers that pays 8-1.

Six-Line: A bet covering two consecutive rows (six numbers in total) which pays out at 5-1.

Top Line: A bet that covers the 0, 00, 1, 2, and 3, which pays 6-1.

Outside Bets

Column Bets: These bets cover a column of 12 numbers, and pay out at 2-1 odds.

Dozen Bets: These bets cover 12 consecutive numbers (such as 1-12 or 13-24), and also pay out at 2-1.

Odd/Even: These bets cover the appropriate 18 numbers, and pay out at even money.

Red/Black: These bets cover all numbers of the color selected, paying out at even money.

1-18/19-36: These bets cover all of the numbers in the range selected, and again pay even money.

In a live game, players will be able to make bets for a minute or so before the croupier (or dealer) will place the ball in the outside of the wheel, causing it to spin rapidly. Players will then have a few more seconds to finalize their bets before the croupier closes the action. Once the winning number is determined, the losing chips will be swept off the table, and then winning wagers will be paid before the table opens again for more betting.

Since this is a game that can accommodate many different players, steps need to be taken to ensure that each player's bets can be identified. This is usually done by having each player convert their money into special chips that are only valid at the roulette table. Each player gets their own color, which can represent any denomination that is appropriate: a typical low-stakes player might use their chips at $1 each, while other players might count each chip as $5 or more.

Of course, none of these measures are required in online versions of this game. Instead, players can take as long as they want to figure out their bets and trigger a spin whenever they like, allowing them to have full control over the pace of play.

Double Zero Consequences

The American roulette game differs from its European counterpart in only one notable way: the presence of two zeroes on the wheel instead of just one. Unfortunately, this is universally a bad thing for players, which means that when you have the choice, you'll probably want to play the European version.

The issue comes from the fact that both games offer the same payouts for all bets. These payouts are mathematically designed to be 100% fair for a wheel with 36 pockets; any extra pockets give the casino the advantage. On a European wheel, there is just one extra pocket (the single zero), which sets the house edge at 2.70%.

The second zero on America wheels nearly doubles that edge, increasing it to 5.26%. In fact, the difference is sometimes even larger: some European games use rules that offer players even better odds on even money bets by sometimes returning part or all of their bet if the result of the spin is a zero. With the action and gameplay being exactly the same in both versions, it's clear that European roulette is without a doubt the better bet for players.

Strategies in a Luck-Based Game

There's nothing (legal) that you can do to influence what number the ball will fall on, and the days of biased wheels at casinos is all but over, which means that your results in roulette will almost certainly come down to pure luck. But we can still give you a few ideas that might make the game a bit more enjoyable, and help you avoid some common mistakes.

First, it's important to realize that while almost all bets on the table have the exact same house edge (5.26% in the American game), there is one major exception. The unusual bet that covers the two zeroes and 1, 2 and 3 offers 6-1 odds, but this isn't quite enough to measure up with all of the other wagers on the table. This option comes with a 7.9% house edge, by far the worst figure in the game.

You might also hear about some betting systems that other players will swear can help you overcome the house edge in this game. We're sorry to say that this isn't the case: no sequence of bets can change the fact that the casino has the advantage on each one you make. That said, they also can't hurt you mathematically, so if you find one you enjoy, feel free to use it!

For instance, many players enjoy using the Martingale system, in which they start with a small wager on one of the even money bets and then double it after every loss, returning to the initial amount after a win. This system typically leads to a small win eventually, as any win will cover all of the previous losses. However, there is a danger: if you lose several times in a row, you may get to a point where you either hit the table maximum or cannot cover your next double, leading to a catastrophic loss.

Better Than Its Reputation

Despite the unflattering comparisons to its European cousin, American roulette is not a bad game. Yes, if you have the choice between the two versions, you should always pick the single-zero layout: that's just common sense. But when the two zero option is the only one available, that doesn't mean you have to stay away from the table.

Despite the higher house edge, American roulette still has the same relaxed pace of play, classic atmosphere, and social gaming feel that has made it popular for well over a century now. And with the possibility of a jackpot-like payout on every spin, we're confident that people will be lining up to play this game at casinos worldwide for centuries to come.

How Do iPhone Casino Apps Work?

An iPhone casino is now one of the best ways to play your favorite casino games. Playing on an iPhone platform offers the same entertainment, chances of winning, the same image quality and quality of games as the traditional online casino. These days, the only difference between a smartphone casino and the online casino is screen size.

All you need to play games on your iPhone is internet connectivity. The rules of how games are played at iPhone casinos apply to online casinos too – for instance, banking terms, transaction limits, bonuses, and free trials.

iPhone casinos give users the freedom and flexibility to play games whenever and wherever they are. Some mobile casinos have developed versions of the online games for the iPhone, while others offer their games exclusively on mobile. Users can access the games by installing the app on the iPhone, or at the casino site without installing any software and application.

What to look for in an iPhone Casino App

i. Software

Always look for the names behind the games of the casino. Are they tried and tested names in the industry? A casino furnished with games from such names is more likely to have quality and popular games with huge winnings. For example, Microgaming's Mega Moolah game is the biggest progressive jackpot in existence.

ii. Variety of games

What games are available, and are they to your liking? Check if there are games you would be missing out on before signing up on an iPhone casino. Also, variety is important – you don't want to keep playing the same games over and over.

iii. Banking methods

You need to always be sure your money is secure, and banking methods are a big part of this. Nothing is more disappointing than scoring a win only to find you can't withdraw money. Take a closer look at the depositing and withdrawal methods. If you don't recognize or trust them, don't use them.

iv. Deposit and withdrawal terms

Keep an eye out for the minimum and maximum amounts you can deposit. Also, what are the withdrawal limits? You don't want a casino that has too high withdrawal limits or penalties when you withdraw at certain specified periods.

v. Interface

How easy is it to navigate through the app? A friendly and intuitive interface lets you play quicker and enhances your gaming experience.

Pros of iPhone Casinos

Pros and Cons of iPhone Casinos

Pros
  • Playing on the go – iPhone casinos give you the freedom and flexibility to access your games wherever you are, as long as you have an internet connection. You can turn your spare time into a money-making opportunity, which will help you maximize your turns and increase your chances of winning.
  • Privacy – In many instances, players do not want people around them to know that they are gambling. An iPhone affords you discretion so that no one can know what you are up to on your phone.
  • Quick start time – You can whip out your iPhone right away and start gaming – with a simple tap of your finger. You don't have to wait for your phone to boot up. You can even keep your game screen on the standby and attend to other activities and pick up right where you left off.
  • Safe and secure – Having your iPhone as the go-to device keeps your gambling experience safe. That's because it's very rare for an iPhone to be infected with viruses and other malware that would compromise your personal information.

Cons

  • Small screen size – The size of an iPhone screen is quite small – and there may be reduced clarity and lack of detail, with some items being hard to see. It may take some time before being used to the small screen, and for some people, it can be a decrease in the overall experience.
  • Data-intensive – It can prove expensive to play games using your internet provider's data if you have no access to Wi-Fi. Playing on your phone also means you need a strong network reception, which may not always be possible or practical depending on your location.
  • Can be addictive – Having 24/7 access to your iPhone casino could have the effect of facilitating a gambling addiction.

Final word

iPhone casino providers are just beginning. As iPhone casinos become more mainstream, so will more online casinos move to claim a share of this market. Now that you know the best iPhone casinos and what to look for in one, you should be well set to choose the best games and casinos that will guarantee you a good time and the opportunity to win prizes while on the go.
